THE ASSOCIATION 

For more than 35 years the Georgia Association of School Business Officials has provided programs and services to promote the highest standards of school business in support of the improvement of the quality of programs and the delivery of educational services to children in Georgia Schools. Our membership consists of Business Services and Financial Services Divisions in most of Georgia’s school districts. Departments represented are Purchasing and Supply Services, Financial Services, Audit Services, School Food and Fiscal Services. Members are Associate Superintendents, Assistant Superintendents, Directors, Coordinators, CPAs, Financial Officers, Bookkeepers and clerical positions from the school district and the RESA area.

THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBITS

Each year the Georgia Association of School Business Officials (GASBO) presents a major conference designed to (1) educate all persons involved in the profession of school business management by offering opportunities for education and skills enhancement, and (2) promote the school business management profession by offering outstanding opportunities for people to network with one another.


OUTSTANDING SCHOOL BUSINESS OFFICIALS AWARD

Each year the Georgia Association of School Business Officials will recognize an outstanding GASBO member who exemplified professionalism, leadership and innovation in the field of school business management.  President Harry Lee has established a committee to review nominees objectively and select this outstanding GASBO member.  The committee will consist of the current GASBO President, First Vice President and Immediate Past President.  Our first winner was Lee Lovett, Deputy Superintendent, Hall County Board of Education.
